Happy New Year! You made it to National Hangover Day. I was feeling quite ambitious a few days ago and signed up for a spin class the morning after New Years Eve. I felt great during class. It wasn't until about 30 minutes after class that I began to gag (thank you sake, vodka, and beer). I solved this problem the best way I know how, with a Michelada. If you haven't had a Michelada before, I highly recommend swapping your Bloody Mary out for one. I can get down with a Bloody Mary, but sometimes vodka just doesn't go down as easily as I would've hoped. Micheladas are made using beer instead of vodka. Makes 8 servings
1 32-oz. bottle chilled Bloody Mary Mix (about 4 cups)
3 12-oz. bottles chilled lager
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. hot sauce
1 tsp.Tajin Mexican seasoning (for the rim)
Lime wedges (for garnish)
Combine the Bloody Mary mix, lager, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a large pitcher.
Put Tajin seasoning on a small plate. Rub rims of glasses with lime wedges and dip in Tajin seasoning. Fill glasses with ice, add Michelada mixture, and garnish with lime wedges. Top with bacon, cheese, whatever you have! Sip away, my friend. You need this.
